The Jonas Puppies

I finished up my Jonas Brothers portrait. I haven't added anything in a while because it's junior review time. I would like to put up some of my drawings soon though. I have some I really enjoy. Anyways, I will eventually be done with Junior Reviews/Merit Scholarship business, and then you will get a finished demo reel! Oooo! How exciting!

Stop Motion Animatic

This is my animatic for my stop motion final. Yes, it is again Tom Jones. I am going to get so sick of this song, I can already feel it. But that's okay. I'm making everything out of fabric and wire. I'm so sick of clay. I've also been wanting to do a project with fabric for a while, so this is a great excuse to use it. Picture some dancing, and everything happening on the beat, and you'll love it! Promise.

Go Wire Tom Jones! Go!

Our next assignment for stop motion was to use our original wire model and have him walk with some type of obstacle in his way. My teacher told me though, that since I'm using Tom Jones's "It's not Unusual" song for my final, that I should incorporate it into this exercise so I could get the beat down. Picture the wire dude as Tom, and the grandma as one of his biggest fans.

Grandma Expression

This is the first stop motion with a character that I've made. Everything else for that class so far has been clay balls rolling around. Anyways, I'm pretty satisfied with it. My teacher pointed out some helpful things, like it's a little fast, and her head needs to move separately from her body, which I agree with. Other then that, I like her. I was going to use her for my final, but I've changed my mind. I'm going to use her again though. For a short little practice thing. I really like the design of her though, she makes me smile.

Joe Bros!

For our next digital illustration project we are suppose to draw someone we hate. Now, I really don't hate anyone, but the Jonas Brothers kind of annoy me, so I picked them. I really have nothing against them personally, I think it's the fact that they are so popular and they really haven't been around that long. I think there's too much attention put on them for not really being that great of a band. Anyways, this is one of my ideas of the assignment. I already got some good feedback from a dad with two tween daughters, so I think I'm heading in the right direction.

Oh my gosh! Grandma!

This is my character for stop motion. I haven't uploaded the video yet, but I will. This is for an expression change, and soon I'll make her talk. I'm using her for my final, and she's going to be baking cookies and listening to Tom Jones. At one point she's going to dance and sing to this signed photo of him. I'm pretty excited. I like Tom, it's really not unusual.

Story Board!

So, for my story board class we have to create a story that has an object, a character, and a location. Mine is a bee (name yet to be decided) that is on the hunt for a flower for his Queen in some country that I also need a name for. Here is basically the beginning, middle, and end of this story. Their hut, the Queen, and the bee finding his flower. I was going to name him Jet but I don't really like that. Probably something like Wayne or something...

Coffe Anyone?

Finished my coffee cups! It's really odd that I chose coffee, seeing as how I never drink it, but I like the cups. It's funny how one drink can have so many different shaped cups to drink it out of. I made this all in illustrator, and I found that illustrator really isn't my thing. But I kind of like the effect I got. It's not as fluid as I usually draw, or shaded in that matter, but I like the simplicity. I'm debating if I should put different splashes of color behind them, but I'm afraid that it would be too much color. Anyways, I'm pretty pumped that I finished them. They aren't due till Thursday, so this gives me some time to work on my stop motion and story board stuff.

Insides, done.

I really wanted this one done, so I stayed up all night working on it. Then today I worked on my insides, and the background. I like how it turned out! I probably need to stop starring at it though, it's starting to look wrong.

Finished Valentine

I finally finished my Valentine for school! (Good thing too, since it's due today!) I did some last minute changes on the background, it use to be red bricks, but I thought it was too busy. Maybe it wasn't, but I was hating how it was looking, so this works so much better for me!
