Tangle

We were given a word, Tangle, and told to illustrate it by 4 and use textures. I used a lemon.

By the way, Elton John and Billy Joel are coming to Minnesota. I really just want to see Elton, and I'm pretty sure it's sold out. Ugh, my life is so tragic.

Walk around Minneapolis

So a couple of weeks ago my boyfriend had to have mouth surgery in Downtown Minneapolis, and I had to drive him. It was a really nice day for Minnesota in the winter, so I decided to take my camera and walk around while he went under the knife. Since he's a photographer I've kind of taken to black and white film, so that's what I used. It was really nice and relaxing, and now that it's spring I'm planning on doing that again.

On a side note, junior reviews are tomorrow at 9 am. AHH! I'm a little nervous, I have no idea how this is going to go. I'm hoping I'll pass, and they won't be too negative. I've been working so hard on all my stuff, I don't really know what I could do at this point. Well, nothing really. It's tomorrow, so I should probably stop messing with stuff.

Tee Shirt!

Here's my tee-shirt design for digital illustration. I went with a 70's vibe.

Also, junior reviews/merit scholarship competition week is ALMOST OVER!!! Well, actually it hasn't even started, but once I set everything up then I won't have to worry anymore! I can't wait till Monday. I have my junior review first thing Monday morning, and then it's all done! Weehew! Then it's on to spring break, and the sending out of demo reel's to animation companies! Yay!

Ball Toss

I re-did my ball toss for my junior review. I really like it now, but the ball (oddly enough when it's just suppose to sit there and not move) is moving around when it's not suppose to in the beginning and the end, so I need to fix that, and it will be done, finally. I just realized that everything I need to do for my junior review is done! Wait, I take that back. I still need to do my artist statement. But all my actual art work is finished, which is really exciting for me. I just need to print all my illustrations and story board off, which I realize is going to drain me a little, but I guess I'm okay with that.

Thanks Tom!

I don't really have anything to show, but I do have news! I e-mailed Tom Jones's management about using his song on my final stop motion. They are totally cool with it as long as I don't show it in any competition, or put it on my website. I'm cool with that. I've been wanting to do this for so long that I don't mind if it doesn't go on my website! Anyways, they also said that they want to see it at the end, which is kind of intimidating. I hope they like it! I doubt they'd show Tom, but if he did end up seeing it, it would be kind of scary. I'm not sure how he'd feel watching some Grandma dance around a kitchen to his song while baking cookies.

Also, I have decided that I want to start taking pictures again. I found my old 35mm camera, bought some black and white film, and have been walking around Minneapolis taking pictures. It's fun...I forgot how much I enjoyed it. It's better then just me and my digital camera taking pictures of my friends. Although theose pictures are fun, they don't really look that artistic.

There's still snow in Minnesota

This was my final for Character Animation last semester. I just re-worked it.
